Portrait Fees
Portrait Fees: There are many aspects that affect portrait pricing, one being if you want a painted portrait or a pencil portrait. Other aspects are; whether you prefer your portrait to be of the head & shoulder, head to waist, full body, the number of subjects in the portrait, the size, and if you choose to have any background. You may always send the artist a regular email at; janet@janetleestudio.com however, if you would fill out a brief inquiry form this will provide the artist more information to help determine a price. You may request to have her call you to discuss your ideas or requests. Please include your telephone number in your email.
Painted Portrait Mediums: Acrylic, (preferred by artist) Alkyd, or Oil
Pencil Portrait Mediums: Graphite or Colored Pencil
Other Information
Terms: 50% down payment is due at the time of your order, and the remaining balance is due upon portrait completion and prior to mailing your finished portrait. (two separate invoices will be created) A contract for your commissioned order will be sent to you upon receipt of your down payment, please sign and return to the artist prior to her beginning your portrait.
Payment: An invoice can be created (one for each payment) in Paypal, where you will have the option to pay by credit card or check. (you do not have to set up an account with them) If you prefer, you may mail a check directly to the artist, however, please allow additional time for your check to clear before the project can begin, or before mailing the finished portrait to you.
Completion Date: For a standard bust pencil portrait, please allow 3-4 weeks for completion once your portrait has been scheduled. If your portrait will be painted, or will be a pencil portrait with additional details, the completion date will be estimated after your portrait request is determined, as well as with the artist's schedule. If you have a specific deadline request, as with a gift, please contact the artist for scheduling inquiries.
Shipping: Shipping will be estimated after portrait request is determined.
Additional Options
Matting or Framing: If you would like the artist to mat your portrait for an additional fee, please include this information in your email and the artist will give you an estimate.
Reproduction or Duplication of Portrait: All portraits are copyrighted by the artist and may not be reproduced or duplicated by anyone other than the artist. Should you wish to have a copy made (by the artist) for an additional fee, please indicate this in your email and the artist will estimate the cost in her reply.
